Educator Workshops

Supporting the Anxious Student: Are you noticing more and more students suffering from anxiety?  Do you feel overwhelmed and not sure how to help that child? Anxiety can affect a students ability to learn. There are a number of ways teachers can make the school day easier and less stressful for a child with anxiety.

In this workshop attendees will discover:

  • How to distinguish between behaviors and anxiety

  • How to create a safe environment when anxiety symptoms are high

  • Systems and techniques to diffuse anxiety with students

  • How to create structured routines that alleviate stressful situations with students

  • How to communicate effectively with the anxious student to create a better relationship

 

Calm and Connected Educator: Tired of having behavioral challenges interfere with your teaching?  Do you feel frustrated and overwhelmed with the day-to-day behaviors in your classroom? Do you wish you could connect with and reach those students that need you the most?  This workshop gives you the insights and strategies you need to support challenges effectively, and calmly.

In this workshop attendees will discover:

  • The difference between a behavioral challenge and a child struggling with expressing their emotions

  • Effective communication and listening strategies

  • Learn to set limits and find solutions with your students

  • How to teach students to manage their own behaviors

  • Walk out with a 5-step method that builds emotional intelligence and creates positive, long-lasting effects for your students.

 

Breaking the Patterns that aren’t Working in Your Classroom through Growth Mindset: There are times we get stuck in repeating patterns day after day. In this workshop, participants will become mindful of what is working and what is not? Through hands-on activities, they will create new action steps to stop the patterns that aren’t working and move forward.

Participants will learn:

  • How keeping a positive focus on what is going well gives you the confidence to keep growing and learning.  

  • How to change mindset to foster growth emotionally and academically

  • Learn what’s not working for them and how to break and change those patterns.

  • Learn how Growth Mindset can not only enhance their lives but also the lives of their students

Building Positive Social Acceptance: Do notice more and more students who feel left out or different? How can you foster a feeling of belonging for all students? In this workshop, we will discuss strategies to help promote positive social interactions for all. We will look at the role of the student, educator, and peers.

Mindset Mastery for Behavior Management: This workshop is a 5 to 6-hour long workshop that can be broken up into three smaller workshops if needed.

This workshop supports educators in their mindset to help cultivate successful relationships, academic performance and positive behaviors in the classroom.  Educators will learn techniques to support them with a positive growth mindset which will enhance teacher/student communication. They will have many hands-on activities and will walk out inspired and filled with solutions for the various challenges they deal with daily.
